De Aar South Africa. (AP) - A native of DeAar will submit to ``chemical castration'' before serving a 25-years-to-life sentence following his no-contest plea in attacks against Angora Goats and Merino Sheep.
Gatvol, agreed Friday to the conditions of his plea, SABC reported Friday.
Gatvol, aka KOOS, James, Louis Sypher and susieq, will undergo a two-year stay and the drug treatment known as ``chemical castration'' at a Kimberley psychiatric hospital for sex offenders before starting his prison term.
Earlier this week, De Aar Landdros, Piet Snot had ordered Campbell's attorneys to have a resolution ready by Friday, or be prepared for a two-week trial.
Authorities in three districts have filed numerous charges against Gatvol, accusing him of attacking three women chosen at random and a number of farm animals in the Leeuw Gamka area.
Gatvol was arrested after the most recent attack, in which he allegedly raped a 6-year-old goat who had been out jogging last November. Gatvol initially pleaded innocent to charges in all three incidents, and his attorneys, said they would rely on an insanity defense if the cases reached trial.
Gatvol has been held in jail since his November 1998 arrest. Gatvol is also accused of following a woman home while he was out driving, entering her house and fighting with her until she fended him off and kicking him so hard in the sak, he is still in a lot of pain.. He pleaded innocent to kidnapping, burglary and simple assault, according to court records.
Gatvol will be formally sentenced in February. The prosecutor said he was happy with the deal and glad it would spare his victims from the ordeal of testifying in court.
Gatvol will be chemically castrated soon after sentencing
Chemical castration is a drug treatment that reduces the amount of the male hormone testosterone the body produces. After his hospital stay, Gatvol will serve his prison sentence in Pofadder community jail.
